The position is to teach Middle School Mandarin at Henderson Middle for the 2012-13 school year.

The salary for a teacher in North Carolina is based on creditable years of teaching experience as determined by the Verification of Experience (VOE) forms VIF receives during the application process. Please note that teaching positions in North Carolina are subject to a 15-year experience limit, so if you have been credited with more than 15 years of teaching experience, the salary estimate will be based on 15 years. Also, salaries in North Carolina are based on completion of a bachelor's degree as salary credit for advanced degrees is not available to VIF teachers.

Based on the VOE forms we received, we have credited you with 7 years of experience, and your estimated salary will be approximately US$33,030.00. As next year's salary scale has not yet been finalized, this salary is an estimate based on the current NC salary scale and the state’s recent trends regarding teacher pay. For the past few years, the state of North Carolina has not granted an annual teacher pay raise, so we have taken this into account when estimating your salary. Once the state salary scale has been confirmed, you will receive more information about your actual salary, but it should not be less than the amount we have provided.
